The Network Infrastructure Assistant card (White Card) is for individuals working in a supportive role within the network cabling industry. To apply for this card, you must hold two separate valid credentials.

Important Terms & Delivery

  • Credentials: Your login details for online assessments will be shared with you via email within 12-24 hours.

  • Mandatory Safety: Remember, you must also pass the separate ECS HS&E Assessment before your card application can be processed.

Required Assessments

  1. Network Infrastructure Assistant Assessment: Focuses on specific industry knowledge, including copper/fibre cable laying and containment systems.

  2. ECS Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) Assessment: The standard industry safety test.

    – Flexibility: Both assessments can be taken online via Remote Invigilation. While they are separate tests, you may take them consecutively (one after the other) from the same location.


Assessment Preparation

Before sitting the Network Infrastructure Assistant exam, we strongly recommend you prepare using one of the following methods:

  • In-House Training: Reviewing safe working practices with your employer.

  • Revision Guide: Reviewing the official  Question Bank, which covers topics such as:

    • Cable Performance: Understanding Class Ea channels and link distances.

    • Containment: Proper installation of tray, trunking, and rack bonding.

    • Fire Performance: Knowledge of CPR and EuroClass cable ratings.
