+ Guide ( ECS REVISION MODULE)

Category:

The ECS Electrical Safety Unit is a specialized safety qualification designed for professionals applying for ECS Related Discipline cards or other specifically defined ECS cards.

This assessment ensures that those working in specialized occupations understand the essential safety aspects of electrotechnical work. It focuses on safe working practices and emphasizes the importance of knowing when a task must be handed over to a fully qualified electrician.

Key Application Requirements

To successfully apply for an ECS Related Discipline card, you must hold two separate valid assessments:

  1. ECS Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) Assessment-If you do not have Valid Health and Safety Assessment then click here to book it 👉 Click here

  2. ECS Electrical Safety Unit Assessment

How to take the tests:

  • Both assessments can be taken online.

  • They must be booked as separate units, though they can be taken consecutively (one after the other).

  • Important: The Electrical Safety Unit is not an electrical theory qualification and is not suitable for those training to become an electrician.

Preparation & Training

We assume that all delegates have a baseline knowledge of basic electrical theory. Because of the technical nature of this assessment, we strongly advise that you undertake relevant training before attempting the test.

Booking Checklist:

  • Ensure you specifically select the “ECS Electrical Safety Unit” when booking.

  • Confirm your HS&E Assessment is also up to date, as you will need both for your card application.
